Free IT Athens Meeting Report - Wednesday, June 13th

I am posting meeting reports for Free IT Athens here as part of my summer internship.

Attendance:

Mike Vigilant: 5PM-7PM
John Von Hollen: 5PM-7PM

Work Done:

Finished the last complete computer for Community Connection (Mike)

Get "Ren" on the printing network (John)

Talked with some random guy about what FreeITAthens is, etc. He works for the state in regards to helping small businesses and, by extension, groups like us. He might e-mail us; his name is Ryan. (Mike)

Cleaned and organized the lab and conference room (John + Mike)

Put lots of parts in the shed. Started enforcing strickter standards on the parts we even take the time to test, we already have lots of extra parts. (John)

To do list:

Get the last complete computer to Community Connection, and organize payment.
Check the status of the hardware in the conference room window-- everything there is there because it's "questionable"
Fix the invoice form--it's got issues.
Upgrade the lab to Fiesty!
Fix the testing motherboard, or replace it
Basket of parts needs to be labeled and tested
Get the office computer on the wireless network.
Get the office computer on the printing network...when they upgraded,
they lost their abliity to print to the laser printer. Low priority since they have another printer in the office.
Recycle the laptops we don't need or can't use.
Create open hours calendar
Organize shelves and cables on the floor
Replace Eazy-E
